Student Terms of Use

Welcome to Coursio. We’re excited to have you as part of our global learning community. This text sets out the rules you must follow when enrolling in courses, consuming educational content, and using our services.
1. Account and Security
To perform many activities on the platform, you must create a user account. You are fully responsible for your account and its security.
- Account Sharing: Your account is personal. Sharing your password or account access with others (including family) is strictly prohibited. If detected, your account may be permanently closed without a refund.
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your country) to use our platform.
2. Regional Pricing and Payments
Coursio uses regional pricing based on purchasing power parity (PPP) so everyone can access education on fair terms.
- VPN and Location Abuse: Attempting to obtain lower prices than your country’s pricing by using VPNs, proxies, or other location-masking tools is considered fraud.
- If our systems detect such activity, we reserve the right to cancel the purchase, revoke access, and suspend your account indefinitely.
- All payments are processed end-to-end encrypted via payment providers that meet international security standards (e.g., Stripe).
3. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Your satisfaction matters to us. We offer a comprehensive refund policy, but it is subject to strict rules to prevent abuse:
- If you have ever watched or consumed more than 25% of a course’s content, you permanently lose the right to a refund for that course.
- Anti-Abuse Measure: Trying to artificially reduce your progress by unchecking completed lessons or quizzes does not restore your refund right. The system uses your "Maximum Progress" as the reference.
- Users who download all materials and immediately request a refund may have their refund rights suspended by moderators.
4. Content Access and License
When you enroll in a course, you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to view the content.
- Lifetime Access: "Lifetime access" means you can access the course as long as your account is active and Coursio retains the publishing rights to the course.
- Prohibitions: Recording course videos with screen recorders, downloading (except the official offline viewing feature in the mobile app), copying, or distributing via torrents or similar platforms is a copyright violation and may lead to legal action.
5. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Systems
Our platform offers AI-powered assistants, quiz engines, and code reviewers to enhance your learning experience.
- It is prohibited to intentionally send meaningless, harmful, offensive, or system-manipulating (prompt-injection) requests to our AI assistants.
- Using automated scripts or bots to bypass AI limits (token limits) may result in permanent account closure.
6. Community and Code of Conduct
Coursio is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment. In course Q&A, comments, and messages to instructors, you must follow these rules:
- We do not tolerate insults, profanity, hate speech, discrimination, or bullying.
- Advertising (spam) your own products, services, or referral links in Q&A areas is prohibited.
- Blackmailing instructors (e.g., "If you don’t give me the files, I’ll give you 1 star") ) to abuse the rating system is grounds for removal from the platform.
